Pete Sempie, Shepley Group Head of Health and Safety Commented;
These awards collectively represent a significant achievement and are a testament to the professionalism, commitment and shared values of our entire workforce. They reflect not just compliance with legislation, but the safe and responsible delivery of projects day in, day out, often in challenging and high‑risk environments.
From a health and safety perspective, this level of sustained recognition can only be achieved where strong leadership is matched by positive safety behaviours on the ground. It demonstrates that health and safety is not treated as a bolt‑on, but as an integral part of how we plan, manage and deliver our work.
The President Awards demonstrates long‑term consistency and resilience of our safety management systems and culture. This Award provides confidence that our approach to risk management, workforce engagement and continual improvement is effective and embedded across the business.
Most importantly, these awards belong to everyone across the organisation — from those planning and supervising work to those delivering it safely on site every day. They are a reflection of people looking after themselves, their colleagues and our clients, ensuring that every project is delivered safely and responsibly.
While we are rightly proud of this recognition, we remain focused on continuous improvement and maintaining the high standards that these awards represent.”
This continued recognition is a testament to the dedication of our workforce and the shared responsibility for safety across all sites and projects.
