5% Club
The 5% Club is a national movement of employers, focussed on growing the recruitment of apprentices, sponsored students and graduates into the workforce. Members strive to achieve 5% of their workforce in ‘earn and learn’ positions within 5 years of joining. The Shepley Group was proud to have 5.8% of employees already in this category at the point of joining
Nuclear Industry Association
The Nuclear Industry Association is the trade association for the civil nuclear industry, representing more than 250 companies throughout the supply chain. It aims to improve the commercial performance of the nuclear industry, engage with public spheres to promote understanding of nuclear energy and encourage the progression of young people in STEM sectors.
Electrical Contractors Association
The Electrical Contractors’ Association is the largest association supporting electrotechnical and engineering in the UK. They represent contractors and installers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with clients assured of high-calibre work through ‘approved’ industry certification and membership.
BECBC
Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster is a private sector led organisation with members ranging from SMEs to global companies, all with business interests in West Cumbria. Networking, knowledge sharing, specialist sector groups and relationship development are some of the benefits of membership, with a strong focus on the Cumbrian economy.
RoSPA
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is a charity that campaigns to save lives and prevent accidents that result in life-changing industries. It has focussed on general road safety and issues of occupational health and safety.
Gen2
Gen2 is a training organisation based in the North West of England, currently rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. It offers responsive training and educational programmes, working with over 300 employers and trained over 3,500 apprentices in since 2000. Courses cover topics such as Professional Engineering, Nuclear Related Technologies, Manufacturing, Health and Safety, ICT and Renewables.
