Due to continued growth West Cumberland Engineering are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist (vacancies for both Milling and Turning)

The Job:

As a CNC Machinist, you would be responsible for operating/programming CNC Machines to produce precision parts working to our customers drawing specifications, supported by a dedicated inspection team. It is a full-time position offering competitive pay, and regular overtime.

We’re looking for:

• An experienced CNC machinist, ideally with a Milling/Turning background, who has worked to a high level of accuracy with a strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
• Experience in programming Fanuc, Siemens 828, and Heidenhain would be desirable.
• Some knowledge of XYZ Prototrak would be ideal.
• Experience of CAD/CAM Programming both offline and online.
• Experience of working with difficult to machine materials common within the Nuclear Sector, (304,316, FV520, 431 Stainless Steels etc).
